End of the week fun-

Name one item invented by a woman on the subject of:

(1) automotive parts

(2) household appliances

    Mary Anderson invented the windshield wiper in 1903.

    The dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochran in 1889.

    Several other items were supposedly invented by women, as mentioned on a radio show I heard, but I couldn't verify them. They were all convenience common sense things except one (it's obvious):

    refridgerator (probably a combination of inventors)
    circular saw (unpatented by a Quaker woman)
