99c Store Helium Balloons

Anyone bought helium balloons at their local 99C store?

Today is Thurs and I need to decorate for birthday parties Sat and Sun in the house (both kids have birthdays this weekend). If I buy them 2 to 3 days ahead, will they stay afloat?

I believe they are mylar not latex :?

    I always buy helium balloons as the dollar store. They are the same balloons and helium is helium. Latex will only last 24 hours or so. Mylar can vary up to several days or even a week or more. I would not worry about buying one day ahead but I wouldn't take a chance on more than that. If they aren't sealed tightly, the helium will leak out and they would go flat. Also, don't be surprised if they flatten when you take them outside in this cold weather. They will plump back up when they get back inside where it is warm.

    If you get them tomorrow, there shouldn't be a problem.

    I second mbkonef, I always buy them there, but about a day ahead is the most you can do...have fun with your parties Smile
